Celebrate Mardi Gras with the San Diego Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. When the Sisters go marching in!
We’ll be kicking off the festivities with the all new and re-imagined Hillcrest Fat Tuesday. For the first time in history Hillcrest’s Mardi Gras celebration includes a parade – and we’ll be marching along! The parade starts at 6pm. Hillcrest has always been a place of fun, frivolity and spectacle that likens the experience of Mardi
Gras in New Orleans. On the east end of town, on University between 10th and Herbert Streets, Hillcrest Fat Tuesday will feature a nighttime dance party, gourmet food vendors, street performers, and an outdoor nightclub with DJs. The parade is free and open to the public but Hillcrest Fat Tuesday remains a ticketed 21+ event. Click here for details and to purchase tickets.
After the Hillcrest parade, some of our Sisters will be sticking around to entertain you – the rest will be making our way downtown to join in on the festivities and parade in the Gaslamp. We love to spread the love!
The 20th Annual Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp will take place from 5:00 PM to midnight. The parade kicks off at 9:30pm and look for us to be strutting our stuff. As the largest block party in San Diego, this event fills over 20, yes TWENTY downtown blocks with unique and bazaar entertainments and 5 stages with live music from top International and National DJs. Tickets are required for the block party and include the best spots to watch the parade. All tickets allow for in and out privileges and the option to upgrade by purchasing a dinner package from any one of the amazing Gaslamp Quarter restaurants. Visit SDMardiGras.com for complete details and to purchase tickets.
So grab your beads, feathers, masks, and don’t forget your condoms, and celebrate Mardi Gras with us!
