Contributing to the San Diego Sisters

We often find ourselves in the following scenario: a member of our community comes up to us and says, “Sisters, I love you!” and then asks, “How can I help you to continue what you do?” The San Diego Sisters want you to know that there are SO many ways in which you can contribute to help us in our mission…spreading the universal joy and expiating shame, guilt, and stigma!

Of course, a financial contribution to the Asylum of the Tortured Heart, Inc. is both a pretty obvious and a standard way to support our work. Any financial support that you would offer to us is always deeply appreciated! Your donations go towards programs like our “condom outreach” or are applied to our “SD Sisters’ Charities Fund”, from where we are able to give some awesome grants to local organizations at the end of the year.

But there are a number of other ways that you can also assist us in what we do. Some VERY easy suggestions are:

~supporting us by attending one of our events, for example Pictionary Night at Number One 5th Avenue or Wednesday nights

~by spreading the word about who we are and what we do…share/suggest our Facebook page with/to your friends

~reaching out to us if you have ideas for a community event

~simply clicking on the “donate” tab at the lower right of this page under “Links” ;D

~contacting us if you know of some upcoming event that you feel we may have interest in joining/attending

~even just saying a big “hey gerl/s” when you see us out and about…we love to meet our community

See, there are many ways to help us in furthering our mission!! So, by whatever means you choose to express your support for our work, the San Diego Sisters will always be grateful for your contributions. Together, we all can make manifest our collective commitment to both nurture and empower our incredible San Diego community! Thank you!!
